We have designed many bespoke branded improvement programmes. Here are just two examples:
From an SSE perspective, the change in attitudes and behaviours of our people at Slough power station and their improved safety performance demonstrated the innovative approach of W2.
Improving skills and confidence in proactive safety coaching interventions and conversations
People can find it challenging to stop a task, intervene and coach others; however, it is essential in order to deliver improvement in performance and to prevent incidents or harm. Sliding Doors™ is an immersive experiential workshop that builds people’s confidence to step up and have an intervention or coaching conversation; it develops the skills of evaluating the risks and potential consequences; and it helps people to be courageous and choose to do the right thing at critical moments in safety, and to intervene to have a coaching conversation.
Outstanding – one of the best tools we can have to reduce workplace risks.
The structure of the full course, well presented and informative.
Excellent idea – a definite ‘concentration’ grabber.
Very effective and passionate!
Intervention is essential to a safer world.
Very beneficial to those we are developing towards supervisory positions, to give them the tools to be effective safety leaders, prior to being in that position.
This was very good. First time I have seen this. A very good tool – teaching approach.
Flabbergasted at the high quality of the training.
...the impact on my teams, who have been enthused throughout.”
Improving hazard awareness and risk management
How can we help your people think about the unthinkable happening? We use the RAF Test Site of Spadeadam to demonstrate hydrocarbon releases and their consequences. Participants get to see, feel, and hear first-hand – in close proximity – the shocking results of an explosion, fire or gas release. It is a key activator to motivate people to take action and improve performance on quality assurance and asset integrity.
At the core of catastrophic incidents such as Piper Alpha, with its terrible loss of life, are the lessons we can learn in order to prevent a similar incident from ever happening again. Working with our clients in high-hazard industries, this is a constant challenge.
We created an experiential workshop which focuses on learning from past incidents in terms of the Human Factors and Risk Management, and creates strategies and actions to proactively develop the safety culture in Major Accident Prevention.
Best yet, I will take a lot from this course.
Friendly, knowledgeable course facilitators, fascinating demonstrations – a great course.
I now have a full understanding and appreciation of what can happen when things go wrong.
Great reminder that we need to focus all the time to prevent unwanted events; everyone should get this reminder.
Gained experience through group discussions, which for me will be invaluable in years to come.
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, with many lessons learned.
